In his business career, he has forayed into many sectors including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, financial services, FMCG and hospitality with astounding success. His accomplishments have earned him many accolades and awards including the Padma Shri (2009) and the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (2007) bestowed by the Government of India, and the 'Order of Abu Dhabi' (2005) by the Government of Abu Dhabi.

An astute businessman, Binay Shetty brings extensive experience in building and growing international businesses. His inputs have been central to shaping the overall strategy and direction of Finablr network companies. He brings to the forefront a strong combination of financial acumen, management experience and operational expertise. Binay holds a degree in Business Administration with specialisations in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Boston University, USA. Binay also serves as Vice Chairman and CEO of BRS Ventures, the family office of Dr. B.R. Shetty, and is an active participant in various social and philanthropic initiatives.

Promoth is an acknowledged expert and thought leader in the financial services domain and a champion of technology and innovation. He is credited for the international expansion of the group. Under his stewardship, Finablr Network companies including Unimoni, UAE Exchange, Travelex, Xpress Money, Remit2India, and Ditto Bank, have evolved into market leaders across various segments. He also spearheaded the group's strategic investment initiatives like Loyyal, Swych, to name a few. Along with Travelex and Remit2India, he also led several strategic acquisitions in Singapore, Brazil, Australia etc., thus widening the spectrum of service offerings of the Group. A sought-after speaker at industry forums and conventions, Promoth is featured among the "100 Inspiring Leaders in The Middle East" by Arabian Business, and among the "Top 50 Fintech Influencers in the Middle East". Promoth also serves on the World Economic Forum's Global Steering Committee for Financial Inclusion that seeks to drive sustainable financial inclusion through digital channels. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.


Mehul Desai


Mehul Desai has 25 years of experience in ICT (or Information Communication Technologies) and related applications worldwide, focusing on intellectual property, product development, business development, strategy and international operations.

Mehul Desai co-founded C-SAM, a global technology-provider for secure-transaction solutions, which was acquired by MasterCard Worldwide in 2014. He is founder and CEO of DeZai and also is co-founder of Caspo, PEaaS, Joovo, and Zopus.

He is also on the board of several companies and is an expert-in-residence at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Chicago.

He co-authored March of Mobile Money, The Future of Lifestyle Management - which was published by Collins Business in 2010. Mehul authored August of Money, The Quest for Cashless Society - which was published by Let’s Talk Payments in August 2015.
